A new functionality related to paternity leave has been implemented in the ƏMAS system

A new functionality has been introduced in the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population’s “Labour and Employment” subsystem (ƏMAS) to allow employers to generate electronic orders granting paid leave to men in connection with the birth of a child.

 

After the employee submits a medical certificate confirming the birth of the child, the employer, via ƏMAS:

 

  • enters the “Orders” section and selects “Create leave order,”

  • chooses the type of leave,

  • indicates Article 125, part 4 of the Labour Code as the legal basis for the leave,

  • and generates in the system the order granting the employee 14 calendar days of paid leave covering the period before and after the child’s birth.

 

This innovation serves to fully digitalize the process of granting leave in workplaces, ensuring that it is carried out in a swift and transparent manner, while also strengthening social protection mechanisms within labour relations.

 

It should be noted that one of the recent amendments to labour legislation provides for men to be granted 14 calendar days of paid leave in connection with the birth of a child.
